Tenmeia ("we", "us", "this site") operates tenmeia.com and its subdomains, which explain Eastern divination systems and let you try them for free. This policy sets out what we do and do not collect, what our advertising partner does, and what rights you have. We have tried to write it in the same plain language we use everywhere else on the site.
This site is operated by Tenmeia, an independent publisher based in Japan, which acts as the data controller for the limited processing described below. You can reach us at info@tenmeia.com or through our About & Contact page.
Birth dates, birth times, names, places and every other detail you enter into a reading are processed entirely inside your own browser. They are not sent to our servers, not written to any database, and not stored after you close the page. We do not receive them, so we cannot read them, sell them, lose them or hand them over.
This is a consequence of how the site is built rather than a promise about how we behave: the calculation code runs on your device. If you are technically minded, you can confirm it by opening your browser's network panel and watching what leaves the page while you run a reading.
Like any website, this site is served over the internet, which means some technical information reaches our hosting provider and our advertising partner whether or not you interact with anything. That includes your IP address, the type of browser and device you are using, the page you requested, the page you came from, and the date and time of the request.
We use this only in aggregate, to understand which pages are read and to diagnose faults. We do not attempt to identify individual visitors from it, and we do not combine it with anything you type into a reading — which, as described above, never reaches us in the first place.

You can delete existing cookies and block future ones in your browser settings. Blocking them does not stop any reading from working, because the readings do not depend on cookies.
This site is free to use and is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service operated by Google.
We do not give Google, or any advertiser, the information you type into a reading. We could not do so even if asked, because it never leaves your browser.
If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set or any personalised advertising is shown, using a consent management platform certified by Google under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework.
You may accept, refuse, or choose a middle option in which advertising is shown but is not tailored to you. Refusing does not restrict any part of this site. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the privacy settings link in the footer of any page, and your new choice applies from that moment onward.
We may use analytics tools such as Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — which explanations hold attention, where people leave, which readings are run. For data held by Google as a result of its advertising cookies, Google is the controller and its own privacy policy and controls apply.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising cookie activity may be treated as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law. You can refuse that activity through the consent mechanism in section 6, or through Google Ads Settings. Exercising this right will not cause you to be treated differently on this site — there is nothing here to withhold, since everything is free.
This site is written for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16, and we do not request an age or any identifying detail in order to run a reading. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will act on it.
Our hosting provider and our advertising partner operate servers in several countries, including the United States, so the technical information described in section 3 may be processed outside your own country. Those providers rely on transfer mechanisms recognised under applicable law, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We keep no personal records of visitors, so there is nothing for us to retain beyond the short-lived server logs held by our hosting provider for security and fault diagnosis. The site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, but the most sensitive information involved here — what you type into a reading — is never transmitted at all.
This site links to other websites, and displays advertisements that lead to them. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Their policies, not this one, govern what happens once you leave.
We may revise this policy as the site changes or as the law does. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be summarised there. Changes take effect once posted on this page.
